View Full Version : heart murmurs in dogs

Our dog was recently diagnosed with a murmur. The vet seemed to push the sonogram. We did blood work which of course showed nothing. I was surprised with this dignosis, since Casey showed no symptoms at all. She is an 8 year old Brittany mix. Any comments to help us out? Thanks.

Not sure that I can help, but Coco has had a heart murmur for some years now and takes Fortekor 5 (1/2 a pill per day) for it. It does not seem to cause him any problems other than coughing and he is now nearly 14:)
