Server Maintanance Window - January 1st 2007 1AM-5AM CST

Just received notice from my hosting company that there will be a regular scheduled maintenance window on January 1st 2007 between 1AM and 5AM CST. The maintenance will include checking of hardware parts/replacements of possible defective items, cleaning of fans, checking connections etc.

Hopefully, any downtime on our site will be kept to the minimum. They also said that for many servers there will not be any downtime at all, but we never get that lucky :D

Funny how things like that always happen to others, I think they just make it up to make people think that it will not effect them..
