Due to some space constraints we have had to make a separate threads for the continuation of our "Remembering All Who Have Left Us" honor list. We want to stop and take this day and everyday to remember each and every one of you. In Loving Memory of these special souls whom we still grieve for, miss, smile at the memories, honor and will see again one day.

I just want to say how great it is to have such a list..

They are forever in our hearts, it's nice that those doggie names ar not to be forgotten.
I hope you forgive me, but I just want to share a bit about my beloved play-mates I lost.

I lost my best buddy 10 years ago.. not to an illness but a car.. I was just 15 but still missing him, unfortunately I can still see him getting under that car..
I even remember the dog we used to have before that.. I realy was just a small child back then, he ran away, I know he came under a car (the police told us he was chasing a cat, the car just managed to avoid the cat but didn't see the dog in time.. ) but somehow, I can still look out the windows and hoping to see him coming back home, just as I did back then, stubborn and just didn't want to belief those policeman...

I know when I look out those windows, that I won't see those dogs ever again.. But sometimes, I just have to go and take a look..

My beloved play-mates the black mix Tobias, crossed the rainbow in 1990 and the red&white mix Timmie (he has his own special place at my website), he died in 1996.

I just happened to come for a visit today - I haven't been here since August '06, when I lost my Nikki - but when I saw her sweet name being remembered here - I just felt such a peace. It's hard to explain, but it's just knowing that there's still someone out there who cares! So, thank you, thank you. I needed this today!

Thank you for remembering our friends. It's been over a year now since Phoenix left me. It's still too raw for me to think about his illness but time has allowed me to begin to remember him with a smile and a feeling that he's still with me.

What a wonderful rememberance! I am so sorry to see so many names, but it just reminds me there is just that much love out there to tend to these pups. I will be saying a prayer tonight for all those pups listed...and their people.

I think this memorial is the sweetest part of this website.

I cry everytime I look at this long, long list... more so now that I too have a loved one on there.

Im not yet over the pain of losing my best friend, but I take comfort in the support and kind words that everyone here has provided since the day we joined.

Because there is so little information about Cushings in Dutch I started my own mail-group in Dutch about Cushing disease.
We now have already lost 2 doggy members in the short time its up, it's so sad!

I think it is so great that the lost ones are rememberd forever that I have made a list also to at least name each and every dog that had to fight this disease..

When a dog has died, the world goes on, people around you forget about it and go on with live.. it's so great that we remember the beloved dogs who sadly left us.

Karen, that's just great you started a Dutch Cushings mail-group, bravo! There indeed is nothing at all about Cushings in Dutch so congrats to you for setting this up :)

I went through the memorial list...and oh dear...2 of my babies are on there..how did this happen...still can't believe it :( In 14 months time, first Cukie, now Sogno but also can't stop thinking how fortunate I have been to have had these 2 amazing little creatures in my life, such wonderful and warm living beings...through all the pain still, I always remember how extremely blessed I have been as well...

To all the loving and wonderful souls on the memorial list...

I don't know if all of you know the whole story of Rainbow Bridge:

Just this side of Heaven is a place called Rainbow Bridge.
When an animal passes, he goes to Rainbow Bridge.
There are meadows and hills for all of our special friends,
so they can run and play together.
There is plenty of food, water and sunshine so they
are warm and comfortable.
All of our pets that had been ill and old, are restored to health and vigor,
those who were hurt or maimed are made whole and strong agian,
just as we remember them in our dreams of days and times gone by.
Our pets are happy and content, excpept for one small thing;
they each miss someone very special to them, who had been left behind.
They all run and play together, but the day comes when one suddenly stops
and looks into the distance.
His bright eyes are intent; His eager body quivers.
Suddenly he begins to run from the group, flying over the green grass,
his legs carrying him faster and faster.
You have been spotted, and when you and your special friend finally meet,
you cling together in joyous reunion, never to be parted again.
The happy kisses rain upon your face; your hands again caress the beloved head,
and you look once more into the trusting eyes, so long gone from your life,
but never absent from your heart.
Then you cross Rainbow Bridge together......

That beautiful peom made me cry. I sooo miss my baby Missy who I had to painfully put to sleep on tues and Im still trying to deal with the pain. Not one day goes by that I dont cry for her.

Reading that list of all the loved pets who have passed thru the years gives me some comfort and I wanna thank you guys for adding my sweet Missy to that list.

I just miss her so bad and Im trying so hard to be strong for her 8yr old daughter Heidi whom missys soul will live thru....

Just remembering my babe who left this earth one year ago today. She wasn't a cushings pup but she was my best friend for seventeen years. She was the best girl I could have asked for, so loyal and just a little cupcake. Her sister Molly is my cush pup they were the best of buddies and I know Molly is missing her too. They did everything together even though they were not blood sisters they were soul sisters. It is a sad day remembering her last day and how hard it was. But I often look up and give her a smile and let her know momma is okay and plans on seeing her again. I hope to pick up where we left off. I miss you and love you so much and I hope you are waiting and having a great time in heaven in the mean time until we meet again. big smoochies to my sweet baby! momma and Molly miss you everyday. Just can't believe that here I am again posting another sad message on this site. We lost Rufus companion dog a beautiful Newfoundland, Baloo today. He had a Buller on his lung and a chronic bronchial condition which meant he could not be treated for the buller and we finally had to make that awful decision for us and the best for him today when he could not breath properly. What a huge hole in our hearts and home tonight. He was a 14 stone cuddly black bear with such a laid back personality he was almost horizontal. Our new rescue Abby will certainly miss him even though she has only been here three months.

Oh I am so very sorry to hear this about Baloo and you had to make that decision. The holes in your heart from loosing Rufus and now Baloo - my heart just aches for you and your family. You gave Baloo one of the best gifts any good owner can do and that is to take away the pain forever.

You and your family are in my thoughts and prayers and thank for telling us about Rufus' buddy.

Wow. I can't believe it's been one year already since Buddy passed. On one hand it feels like an eternity, on the other it seems like yesterday. He meant so much to my mom and me. He was such a faithful and loving companion. I know he has been reunited with my mom in heaven and they are together again. I miss you so much my little Budster....
