Hannah lost her brave but short battle with Cushings on Wednesday, January 18th. She developed cancerous masses on her liver that were the cause the of the inappetite.
We are breathing...and walking her brother-in-wags, beyond that we are not doing much.
This is so very, very hard. She has been my light, my life for the past 8 years - I have no idea what to do with myself without her. I miss her noise - she lived life very loudly - that tail crashing into absolutely everything, pushing her food around her dish, and sneaking kisses when I wasn't looking. Her 'brother' is not quite a dog - he sleeps alot, and is quite aloof - adorable, but aloof, and he's his daddy's dog...she was her momma's girl. It's tough.
If you have a spare prayer - send them up for her, will you?
Thank you all for your help, your support, your information and your kindess - it helped.

I'm so sorry to hear of your loss. Hannah was way too young to leave for the Rainbow Bridge. It's always hard to lose a dog, but twice as bad when the dog is a mere 'pup'. Maybe Hannah will 'hook up' with my sweet 8 year-old Eskie, Dinky. He went to the bridge on June 29, 2004.

Freedom,
My heart goes out to you. Keep her sweet memories in your heart and maybe someday they will fill the hole that is left with her passing. Keeping you in my thoughts and prayers.
Take care ~ Mary Ann

I am so sorry that Hannah has lost her battle. I know how raw your pain is, and I also know that it will diminish. I know that you will never forget your special girl. May she be happy at the Bridge with Coco and the others that have gone ahead to wait for us in the doggie playground.
Hugs

We are so very sorry about Hannah. You and your family have our deepest sympathy.
It is so very hard to watch them go. Like the others from this site that have passed. I know she will forever be a part of you.
Our prayers are certainly with you these coming days, months and years.
Take care ((((hugs))))

Freedom and family - I am so very very sorry about your beloved Hannah. She and you will be in my prayers always. The past months have not been easy for you, but here's hoping that your kitties Boo, Lenny and Cornelius were waiting at the Rainbow Bridge for Hannah, along with all our cushpups who are waiting to be reunited with us. Peace - Joyce

Dear Freedom,
My beloved Madison went to the Rainbow Bridge just two days before your Hannah, and it sounds like the same thing happened...my Madison wouldn't eat either, but I don't know why. I would love to 'chat' with you sometime to compare notes. In the meantime, Hannah is in my prayers (as are you), and I hope that Hannah and Madison are up there keeping each other company....I'm assuming my Maddie is missing her mommy as much as Hannah is missing hers....Take care....

Freedom, I'm so sorry for your loss. I know how much you loved your Hannah. No matter how long we have them here with us, it's never long enough.
My heart goes out to you at this very sad time in your life.
