A member of our community using AOL recently reported a problem logging in and posting in our Forums.
This problem exists for AOL users when using the browser integrated with the AOL client software. The AOL browser makes web requests through a set of caching proxy servers instead of the request going over the Internet to our web server. Due to the fact that the AOL browser uses a proxy cluster, each request made by an AOL user might have a different IP address, and therefore, a new session will be created for each request. The problem is that the user is not logged into these subsequent sessions when attempting to post or use any other "members only" features of our Forums.
If you are using the AOL browser with our Forums and experiencing problems:
Make sure that cookies are enabled in your browser. Cookies are a small piece of data stored locally by your browser that saves your login information and helps identify you to our site.
When logging in, check "Automatically remember my username and password".
If you're still having problems with the AOL integrated browser, try minimizing AOL and launch a different browser such Internet Explorer to login and browse this site.
