I wanted to relate this somewhat strange but very heartwarming story . . .

My daughter was also devastated by the loss of our doggies (Mytilda to Cushings/Kidney failure and her bro Clancy to heart failure). She wanted to get another Aussie, but did not have the room or time to really take care of it. So she just several days became a sponsor at this organization; http://www.nsalamerica.org

She told them to give her sponsorship monies to whatever doggie needed it the most ~ whether in a foster home or their "no kill" shelter. (she gave them no information on any prior ownership of her doggies).

She received her packet yesterday and called me crying and crying. . . she is now the proud sponsor of a male doggie named Clancy with severe heart problems. She was shocked to say the least and very sad; but also very happy as this is another way she can keep our Clancy's memory alive.

Next thing you know she will be looking for an at risk doggie with Cushings to sponsor.

I just thought I would share this with ya'll as it touched my heart.

What a wonderful and loving daughter you have, Terry. Could be she is so much like her mom. :) Clancy...awesome! As I said once before today, "God works in mysterious ways".

God bless you all...

Hi Terry,

Some things are just meant to be I think. :)

Is this the same Clancy your daughter is sponsoring?

Yes this is the very sweetie :) ~ I am so pleased as I hoped she would grow up loving and giving.

Even though he is in a foster home I told her to see if she can communicate with them and go and visit him. I know it will help in her healing process. We all felt completely helpless with our Clancy (gone within 8 days of diagnosis) and he was her special buddy.

What a wonderful thing ~ these organizations. Even if one cannot own or foster a doggie, you can sure be involved.

Hello everyone -

I just wanted to chime in and say what you have going on with this site is great. I know it truly helped my mom get through one of the toughest times she's ever gone through. All of you have helped, and I want to say thank you.

I miss my Mytilda and my Clancy terribly. I'm just glad I got to be with them as long as I did. I miss my baby boy so much (it's been almost 3 years), and I'm so glad he waited for me to get home before he left us. And I'm glad our little one (Mytilda) got the help she needed through the advice and support you all gave her mom.

Again, thank you all for your kindness and support that you've given my family. And Shelba - I hope to be half as loving and giving as Terry, only then will I know that I'm truly blessed.

Love
Christina (loving sister of "Clance" and "Biddy")

Hi Christina, nice to "meet" you! :) We do have a real "soft spot" in our hearts for your Mom - and for Mytilda and Clancy too. I love the photos of both of them that your Mom posted here on the site.

What you are doing (the sponsoring thing) is very caring and generous and very C :D :D L too! And I'm sure that your Clancy (and Mytilda too) had something to do with you becoming a sponsor for the other Clancy who needs your support.

(((hugs!)))
