Last time I posted to Emma's thread she was doing quite well and I felt encouraged, although not totally optomistic. I knew it was just a matter of time till things caught up to us. I am sad to post that this past week she went downhill quite quickly.

Tuesday Emma was still eating but Wed morning she was not as interested in her food. The infection that she had in her sinuses (the vet felt that she had a tumor of some kind) had some back and she was not happy and getting weaker and more uncomfortable. I took her in today and the vet euthanized her. She even ate some chicken this morning.

I do feel that I did everything I could for her and it was best that I let her go now. :(

Emma had 5 years after her diagnosis of Cushings. I am going to miss her greatly.

Thank you everyone for the caring support I have gotten here. I am so glad to have found this board.

Dear Judy I am so sorry that Emma has gone to the Rainbow Bridge. I know just how heartbreaking it is when we have to let our little ones go to a better place.

Time does heal somewhat, but the pain feels so deep. (((HUGS)))

Judy, I am so very saddened to hear about Emma. My thoughts and prayers are with you. I hope you can find some comfort and solace knowing in your heart you did everything you possibly could to keep Emma well and happy through some very difficult years. She knew that, and she knew that her mom loved her with all her heart. We have all been inspired by you and Emma and that inspiration will live on in our hearts. I am so sorry.

Love and many hugs

Judy,
I am so sorry to hear about Emma. We all want just one more day. You gave her a wonderful life, just as she made your life more fullfilling. You also accepted the pain in your heart by giving her the final gift of easing her pain. She will one day fill that hole in your heart with fond memories. Until then, know that our thoughts and prayers are with you.
Take care ~ Mary Ann

My heart goes out to you tonight Judy. I'm so sorry for your loss. I know you tried everything you could to help Emma to get better, and she has certainly rallied before, but this time I guess it just wasn't meant to be. She had a wonderful life with you and she will be safe in your heart now and forever, in the memories of the love and laughter you shared with your sweet little Emma.

Judy,

Our deepest sympathy to you and your family.

I know the decision does not come lightly ~ and all the emotions that will follow. I think Emma knew her time and the courage it took in your decision, I know she is thanking you. I know she will always be with you too.

Our thoughts go out to you and to all the lives that Emma touched.

Lots of (((huggies)))

Thanks everyone. It sure is hard to come home at night to her not being here. :( Even the kitty seems kind of lost without her buddy Emma. I know it will get less painful with time and down the road we will get another pup. :)
