AT 14 1/2 years old, and after two PLUS years of fighting Cushings, I had to put Ag to sleep last week. After an awful night and day I brought her first to my local vet and then to U of Penn where it was determined that she was likely suffering neurological damage from a macro-adenoid (sp?) on her brain. I'm so sad that it happened so fast... but unselfishly I'm more glad that she didn't suffer. I promised her that a long time ago and with the help of a good friend I was able to make good on that. While likely the hardest decision in my life - I owed that to Ag. I brought her home from Penn at 9pm that night, kept her comfortable in my home overnight and buried her the next day, in my parents' yard, with many other loved companions.

Aggie was an AMAZING creature... and stood by me through more than I can even remember... She was kind, sweet and good --to the core.

She will be missed beyond what I can express.

Thank you - everyone - for all the support that I received in the early stages of her diagnosis.....

Jenn

Oh Jenn, I'm so very sorry to hear that your sweet Ag has passed away. I've thought about you and Ag so often and I have been hoping that "no news was good news" and that Aggie was doing well.

You were always there for her, Jenn, always doing everything and anything in your power to help her and keep her well. You kept all of your promises, including a final gift of peace. Nobody could love anyone more than that.

My heart goes out to you at this very sad time.

Dear Jenn, I am so sorry to read that Aggie has gone to the Bridge. Take comfort in the fact that you made her life the best you could. She will be playing with Coco and all the other Cushdogs now, painfree and happy (((HUGS)))
