please, if your vet even suspects cushings get it double checked and treated. i had heidi three days, today being the third, she was untreated and very sick when she came to me. tonight we let her go. she was too far gone to be helped and was in a lot of pain from the untreated cushings my vet said her liver was untreatable because she hadnt been helped when the cushings was found.
I will probably still read this board, just not answer much.

Oh Lin I'm so very sorry to hear that Heidi could not be saved.

I know you would have been able to help her if only you and Heidi could have found each other sooner.

I don't know the circumstances of Heidi's life... I can only hope that she knew love. At least now she is not going to suffer anymore and you were at least able to give her a final gift of peace.

And I still think you are a hero.
